Full pan/tilt/zoom capability allows for 360 degree continuous monitoring. It is designed to operate in any weather conditions and also features a built-in heater. The cameras are perfect for monitoring businesses, buildings, streets, parking lots, etc especially as it also boasts of a 12x zoom along with privacy masking and alarm notification features. Unlike a fixed camera, a speed dome camera is able to Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) around the area that is installed.

The speed dome cameras have ±0.1° preset accuracy and immaculate panning and tilting speed. It supports H.264, which is the latest compression format in vogue today. The speed dome cameras ensure that the area of vision is far greater than a static camera which only looks uni-directionally. The downside to a static camera is that it is easy to work out the areas the camera does not cover and so avoid being captured by it. Covering a wider area with static cameras will increase the expense of installing more cameras.
